Fallguy MIGHTY MP3 module
High End embedded playback device for MP3 files with network interface
The Fallguy MIGHTY MP3 module is an universal and compact embedded module in credit-card size for playing compressed audio data (MP3). The module was designed for use in embedded systems and for integration in customer specific environments. It is a versatile audio module for working in rough industrial applications.
The module has a Compact Flash (CF) card slot for using with CF cards type I or II. Controlling the module could be done either by button or digital and analog inputs. The internal firmware of the module could be adapted to the customer needs. The playback behaviour is defined through the programmed firmware.
In addition to the digital and analog inputs a network interface (ETHERNET) is integrated on the module. The module could be connected to any Local Area Network (LAN) and controlled from a central server. A MP3 upload is also possible.
On the transport layer the well known TCP/IP protocol is used, on the application layer an universal ASCII protocol is used.
Controlling the module from the server could be done by a simple software from LOETRONIC (TCPServer.exe for Windows). The source codes for this software in Visual C++ are delivered with the module. By using these source codes the customer has the ability to write his own software for the server.
